For the most part my art is an esoteric pursuit—private and contemplative. Art delights and challenges me to my very core, it is primarily who I am this time around. My utilitarian forms tend to be varied, simple, dedicated to ergonomics and carefully articulated. Glazing my work is an infinite experiment. The kiln produces something new for me to think about with each firing. My exploration in the ceramic field is wide and constant. I have wandered through various clays, glazes, techniques and firing processes. I profusely drink in ceramic objects as I travel through my life from Ancient Akrotiri in Greece to the Mayan ruins in Mexico and the pre-Columbian artifacts in South America. I appreciate the fact that the clay continues to call my name and keeps me coming back for more.
